There is not a great deal of verifiable information about this actor online, but there is little doubt that he will be best remembered for his portrayal of Jaime in Guillermo del Toro's magnificent El espinazo del diablo / The Devil's Backbone (2001). Concerning his casting for this role, del Toro recalled "Íñigo, I had seen in a movie called Secrets of the Heart, by a Spanish filmmaker named Montxo Armendáriz, and I thought he had this gaunt, scruffy, two-fisted, scrappy, survivalist quality to him. He was ungodly tall, and he moved with the clumsiness of a kid between puberty and childhood. He had those proportions, and I thought, He looks like the leader of the pack, so I cast him."
